The Glorious battle of stalingrad
process paper
My partner and I love World War II, so when the project was given we had ripped through the project list that the teacher had given us. The problem was that all of the WWII project ideas had already been taken. So we had brought it to our teacher and she had allowed us to look through a seperate list that she had made on WWII battles. The problem was that none of the ideas had really jumped off the page like Stalingrad did. By the time we had finished the list we had already known what we had wanted to do. what we had already known about the battle of stalingrad was that it was a war between the Russians and the Germans. It was a two-year war that had required a lot of man power, equipment, and supporting bretheren. So when we had officially decided our project, we took it to our teacher and she had approved us on the idea.
We had started the project by looking up sources on the internet for our praoject's background information. We had used Wikipedia to get a list of websites for the search of information on our topic. we had also used a variety of encyclopedia's and non-fiction books for any extra information that we couldnt find online. a primary source that we had used is the World War II, The Definitive Visual History book. a seconday source that we had used the World War II database for information on the war, weaponry, and vehicles used during the battle. the one thing that we had mainly forgotten was the timeline to the project. It took a few hours but we had gotten it finished, we added in key points that led up to stalingrad all the way from March 15, 1939 to February 2, 1943.
We had aquired our project with teacher assistance, so that is how we had gotten the idea for the webpage. To officially start our webpage, we had to get an account on weebly so that it would be easier than paying forty bucks just to have it on Bing and/or Google. so we had gotten it up and running, but we had ran into so many bumps that it was nerve wrecking. I mean weebly wouldn't auto correct the words. It would freeze up for no reason at all. It was just so aggravating at times.
The Battle of Stalingrad was a turning point in history because it had halted the takeover of, most of, Europe. In order for Stalin and his forces to win he had to create different tactics and policies for the victory. Their win was mostly caused by their brutal Russian winters. The war had also allowed the Russian's to gain many more allies and weapons for the war and future battles.
